I'm partial to either Duck's tank, a Sidekick I believe; or your Green Devils' tank. Both are very maneuverable, both have plenty of torque for hills, and both have good visibility. You'll need anything that doesn't require fast movement to cool it down, so air cooled engines are useless in this role, add extra cooling fans on the engine and perhaps even a transmission cooler to keep the entire vehicle running cool. One thought that needs to be planned into a tank should come from one question: Will I DRIVE this to the field and home? Many options are instantly removed if you want a street legal driver/tank all in one, but don't fret.. remember our pal Tueffie. Also, a big troop payload is nice to have, but a large number of gun ports in the back are needed to make that option more fun. ;) No matter what you build, think safety first. Visibility, GOOD BRAKES, carry water for the players, and be willing to let the new players ride along as gunners, that will keep our games alive! Just some random thoughts from a tired old Skunk.
