One of our own is now in Iraq serving our country. Kyle from team Camo Bandits is a combat medic in the Army and has just landed in Camp Bucca, Umm Qasr, Iraq. His own words are and I quote " this place sucks". The PX there is really bad and he doesnt even have access to purchase even the most basic of necessaries such as underwear and socks. Let alone the comforts that we enjoy here at home everyday " while your sitting there eating your snacks playing on your Xbox"
Lets put a care package together for him at Panzer and try to make his Stay there just little more comfortable. After all he is putting his life on the line each and every day for us.
Bill, can we get some kind of care package collection going for him at Panzer? A central collection point? It doesnt take much and so much of what we have access to everyday and take for granted can mean so much to someone thousands of miles away in a hostile unforgiving environment.
I dont know Kyle all that well as I have only met him a couple of times at some of our games but I do know a few things. He is a fine upstanding young man that isnt at home right now and my family is sound asleep, safely tucked away in their beds. They will get up in the morning and have a good breakfast, nice hot shower, clean clothes, the little ones will watch cartoons as we check emails, talk on the forums, text on our cell phones and blah blah blah. While this young man faces another day of doing his part to make sure that we have that luxury.
It doesnt take much and everyone can help. A bar of Deoderant, Gold Bond powder, Wet wipes, some batteries, an old gameboy you might have laying around or some games, Cds, magazines, minute cards for cell cell phone so he can call home to his family. Basicly many of the the things that we take for granted every day.

I am in. Kyle has shown himself to be a standup player and a standup person. I am going to extend your rally to my forum as well.

| Maddman will be setup at Panzer and OES, we could put out a tote to collect all the items and ship them out to Kyle. |

Thanks Mark and Maddman Products.
No matter what our own personal opinions are about politics and this countries position in the middle east matters not when it comes to supporting our friends and family members that are just doing their everyday job like the rest of us.

Thanks guys, I know he will appreciate this. We were going to do what we could for our teammate, but this will definitely go above and beyond what our abilities would have been. I know it will not only meet his physical needs, but definitely boost his moral to see the paintball community coming together and supporting their own.

We have been gathering goodies lately and will at OFW as well(donation buckets). Ill bring stuff to Panzer specifically for Kyle....say what you will when I pick the good stuff out of the donations for him but man he deserves it. Who is sending the package specifically (Maddman??) so i can guarantee Kyle gets it himself. Most of the stuff GR sends out is random but I want to make sure Kyle is taken care of so I need help.

What are the limits for the shipping company? Liquids, powders, food? Any of these items off limits?

I met Kyle once at a game and conversed with him several times in emails, in my opinion, he is an outstanding person. I have a certain respect for medics since one saved my tail in combat once.
You can count me in! I'll speak with the other 21st Panzer guys and I know they will drop some stuff off too. By the way, I will see if Bill will take one of the Panzer Attack posters and let everybody sign it, and drop that in the package.
Thank you dropzone for thinking of one of our heroes!
